Proofless

October 18th, 2005

I have been knitting.

I have even finished things. The vest in Rowan Plaid is one example.

Do I have proof?

Nope.

See, I have this wonderful digital camera. It works great, even in poor lighting conditions. I think I’ll chalk it up to utter laziness that I have no nifty new shots to show off. Maybe this weekend.

You’ll be happy to note that I finished all three items on my list from last post. I’ve also taught the crochet class and a toe-up sock class, and am all set for round 2 with my beginning knitters tonight.

In indiKnits news, we’re just about ready with 4 of the 7 new designs to head to the printer. I’m changing my format this season. I used to do photocopied patterns on cardstock, with 35mm photos attached. This meant that every time I got an order, we’d spend several evenings folding and gluing. Not exactly the best use of time.

So Sandra, design goddess that she is, has come up with a really cool full-color layout that will be professionally printed on glossy stock. It might cost a bit more, but having that much more time on my hands will be well worth it.

I’m also looking at getting a booth at Stitches West this Feburary, so having patterns all made up ahead of time will actually be doable.

Too many irons in the fire? You bet!

Well sorry to not see pictures this time, but maybe the next one. It sounds like you’ve been pretty busy and I think it’s a great idea to print out your patterns in full-color. If it’s a timesaving device and you’re able to get more sales in by not have to glue and fold, it sounds like a good solution to me. I hope you get the booth in Stitches. Make that money girlfriend!
