I don’t makeresolutions, buthere’s a recap.

January 4th, 2007

But of course, I say that every year. For example, check out last year’s list of non-resolutions.

What I said, last year, is that I wanted to make a few goals of things to increase my happiness to grumpiness ration. How did I do? Let’s see, shall we?

I said: Post more blog entries, with photos.
In reality: I had 102 entries in 2005 and nearly 230 in 2006. Woot!

I said: Finally use some of this experience of mine in the business world.
In reality: Make One Yarn Studio is thriving.

I said: Do yoga for fun, because it should be fun.
In reality: Ahem. Let’s skip this one, shall we?

I said: Drink really good wine.
In reality: Glub glub. Done, done, and done.

I said: Spend more time with my girl.
In reality: Does working together 18 hours a day count? I think we did really well on this one.

I said: Knit with drop-dead gorgeous yarn.
In reality: Oh yeah, baby. I mean, you have no idea. No idea at all. Want a taste?

This is by no means comprehensive, but here’s a quick overview of my 2006 finished knits. I’d say this covers about half of ’em. Some are for upcoming book projects, so I don’t have good photos. Others, I have photos on the other computer.

And soon, I have the daunting task of selecting just the right yarn and just enough projects to take on vacation in 19 days. Not that I’m counting.

Socks? More socks? Am I sick of socks yet?

Schaefer Anne... three matching skeins

Or three matching skeins of Anne, asking to be turned into a Serrano?

And what else? I still have my Print ‘o the Wave Stole in progress, which is perfect cruise knitting, at least in my world. And what else? And what else? I’m chronically guilty of not bringing enough yarn, of running out of yarn on projects I really want to see finished, so I’m determined this time to pack enough to keep me sane for almost 2 weeks.

Anyhow. Happy new year!

Excellent job on your goals last year! The knits are beautiful, as is that sock yarn; which company made it? What about one suitcase for clothes, of medium size and a large one for yarn? I’ve done that a few times with good results. 😀

OMG, I cant believe that Sandra didnt book you on some sort of knitting cruise (just kidding). Maybe you’ll find some yummy yarn in one of the stores that you’ll come across – accidentally, on purpose!! 🙂
