Shapely Cowl

It’s that time of the year where I start thinking about holiday gift knitting. Those of you who know me know that I’m horrible at planning to knit for the holidays. This year may be a little different as I spend some quality time working through my stash.

Like many knitters, I have a lot of beautiful single skeins of yarn. When looking through some of my patterns last night, I was reminded of the Shapely Cowl – my first pattern for sale on Ravelry last winter.

Because it takes just 150 yards of yarn, it’s perfect for gift knitting. Quick to work up, and great to wear this time of year too.

Bought it last year… and just finished knitting it again with a beautiful skein of Misti Alpaca ‘handpainted to the stitch’ as a Christmas gift for my sister.
It turned out lovely, and I hope I made you proud (even if you ARE allergic to alpaca :) )

Haven’t checked your blog in awhile, and am glad to hear that you and Sandra are doing so well in Toronto.
I’m grand myself. I had my son June 1st. Sam. He’s so lovely and sweet, and I find it hard to recall that I was so appalled to find myself pregnant again. I’m so grateful to have him.
Being on my own with 3 boys isn’t easy, but it is worth it, and in many ways so much easier.
    I’m happy.
