Dizzy Diagonal Socks
The challenge with handpainted yarns can often be finding a way to use the dramatic colour changes to the design’s advantage, rather than picking a design that can be easily obscured.
For this pattern, I designed a toe-up sock that uses simple chevrons of knit and purl. It’s simple enough to stand up to busy colours, but far from plain and boring.
My favorite part? The chevrons begin at the very tip of the toe

Fits Adult feet, sizes 7 – 10 with customizations possible
Materials
Approx 400 yds sock weight yarn
US 1½ – 2.5 mm set of 5 dpns, or size to obtain gauge
yarn needle
Gauge
28 stitches and 38 rows = 4 inches in stockinette
